This sculpture responds to the classroom space, and references consensus reality. The container of the classroom is a construction, and the dramas and stories within it only matter because we agree it does. There is a world that has nothing to do with it, worlds we can’t even imagine that occasionally break through, casually and powerfully. I seek to call attention to the uncanny and make evident the illusion of concreteness/objectivity of the academic space.
